Attention All Who Attended Arisia 2009...

Attention all who attended Arisia this year,

Thank you for making Arisia a wonderful experience. This was the largest Arisia to date.

Large conventions, however, can be disease vectors. [A few] Cases of both mono (mononucleosis, or Epstein-Barr Virus) and fifth disease, also known as either erythema infectiosum or parvovirus, have been reported post-con. Please look at the CDC websites for each at:

http://www.cdc.gov/Ncidod/dvrd/revb/respiratory/parvo_b19.htm
http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/ebv.htm.

Particularly if you are pregnant and were at con, please consult your doctor -- fifth's disease can cause serious complications for a fetus.

Thank you,
Crystal Huff
Vice President of Arisia, Inc.
