This year's theme is The Fabric of Science Fiction. Woven from many fibers — facts and theories, fairy tales and rumors, gossamer threads of the mind’s fancy — Science Fiction and Fantasy warp the imagination by weaving intricate patterns that define who and what we are. We welcome you to the newest fabrication:

"Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the hotel is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!"

This winter at Arisia, representatives of the Caitlin Raymond International Registry and volunteers from the fannish community will be running an information table and registry drive. Registration itself is simple and painless: all you have to do is swab your cheek and fill out a form. To register you must be between the ages of 16 and 60 and in general good health.
Childcare (AKA Babysitting) is now full. We will not be taking any other children for childcare.
You are welcome to register your child as "kid in tow", but you'll need to keep them with you at all times.
On the following pages we proudly present the Arisia 2009 Video and Anime schedule. As in prior years, we'll be running programming from Con opening at 4 PM Friday until just past 2 PM on Monday, with a one hour break each morning at 7 AM for room cleaning.
We will also be showing a full slate of films; check here for the schedule.
Arisia is possibly the last convention left on the face of the earth that continues to run real 35mm motion picture film as part of its media programming.
Welcome to the 20th Arisia Masquerade!
Welcome to the 20th Arisia Masquerade -- Saturday, January 17th, 2009.
The Masquerade will be in the President's Ballroom D on Saturday evening. We will have categories for children (Young Fen), Novice, Journeyman and Master/Craftsman divisions.
All of the information on the following pages is designed to help you understand what to expect before, during, and after this year's Masquerade Competition. If in doubt about anything to do with this Event, feel free to contact me.
Presidents Ballroom D
This is no ordinary prom; this is a formal dance, a costume party, and a rave all rolled into one. There will be prizes for best costume, best cosplayer, best couple, King and Queen of the prom, best dancer, best dressed, and most original. The prom will feature music for people of all ages, from classics to cutting edge. We might be calling it a prom, but that is just the cover name for the most fantastic opening night party Arisia attendees have ever seen!
With great regret we must announce that the Wizards Bash has been canceled.
The Hyatt is sold out, but there is still room at the Marriott.
We're back! Thanks to the wonderful response at Arisia '08, Massachusetts General Hospital is looking forward to coming back in '09 on Saturday. Not only that, but on Sunday we'll also welcome newcomers The Children's Hospital Bloodmobile!
