Sort out any announcements NOT for the following day. save in appropriate folder/file.
Re-write/trim, re-format anncts so as to make for pleasant, informative reading.

Layout in InDesign.

By 10 PM, have a proof done, and copy editors' eyes on it.
By 11 PM, be printing.
By 12 AM, be distributing or asleep.

Suggested positions (min 3 ppl):
Gatherers of info (could be the same people as editor, layout, copy, and dist)
Editor (re-writer, organizer of announcements)
Layout monkey
Copy editor (different set of eyes for grammar, spelling, etc)
Distribution monkey (pls not the layout monkey, or there will be cranky riots)

arranging, re-writing, headlining and otherwise mincing words takes about .5-1.5 hours per issue; layout takes 1-2.5 hours (assuming pre-made template).

I spent about 20 hours working on NL in total:
3-3.5 hours per NL layout/editing X 4 newsletters
some 2-3 hours arranging words before Thursday
some 3 hours creating template
